According to actor and comedian Seth Rogen, the Pineapple Express cultivar didn’t exist until after the 2008 movie of the same name brought the name into the spotlight. Inspired by the film, growers took it upon themselves to create a potent cultivar that the film described as “the dopest dope.”
G13 Labs claims it originated the strain in the mid-2000s, selecting Trainwreck and Hawaiian as parent genetics, and the hybrid soon proliferated among California medical marijuana dispensaries. However, many growers and 11 seed banks each aimed to create the “true” Pineapple Express. As such, multiple variations exist in the current marketplace.

Ive been trying to find one that gets my head and body high but doesnt end up making me sleepy and this really did it for me. Literally one hit i was stoned. I hit it and was like “maybe i should hit it again” but i ended up waiting like 2 minutes and boom! I was where i wanted to be at 2 hits, 3 hits, its strong but super manageable and soothing.

What a wonderful strain! And Big Chief does it right. OK, it’s not the numero uno highest quality, but for $20……..are you kidding me?!! I love to try all the brands, and I can say that I have not found anything close to this quality in this price range. It’s a no brainer.

Skeptical at first because of the great price but after some research I purchased a couple different Chiefs. Very impressed with the packaging. The screw cap is a nice touch. Pineapple Express was great. Nice focus with the energy to get me through whatever mess’s my many children make while I’m at work. Sometimes the children spill stuff on the carpet. It’s ok. Just take a breath. Switch out the Pineapple Express with the White Widow. The stuff is great. Sometimes I tell the wife to take the kids out somewhere and do something that takes a while so I can clean. Cleaning is WAY better when children are not present. You ever clean something and when you come back 11 minutes later it’s dirty again. Sorry I’m ranting. Anyway…. great stuff and I’m ordering some other kinds today.
